This spring, BW Concepts is excited to partner with Croquet for a Cure! We will be assisting them with their social media presence during their annual event; a stunning backyard afternoon of Cut-Throat Croquet. It’s not as dangerous as it sounds, it means it’s every player for themselves.

The Why

The event is a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s and other memory loss diseases. The cause is near and dear to the Croquet for a Cure Founder, Meg Seoane. Meg lost her mom, Hermanda O’Connor, to Alzheimer’s disease. It was during her battle that Meg came to the startling realization that there has been barely any progress in finding a cure and or better treatments for memory diseases. And so, a passion was born!

The Who

I think one of the neatest parts about the funds raised at Croquet for a Cure is that they are going directly to a project that is already underway! No waiting for funding to come together, or red tape, but real action now. This year’s event will fund the HonorHealth Foundation Myles & Hermanda O’Connor Fund. And that fund is directly impacting the opening of the new Dementia Center at the Bob Bove Neuroscience Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. This state-of-the-art center will provide multi-disciplinary support for patients – and caregivers as well!
